Here’s some disappointing news for Money Savers.
As we previously reported, NTT DOCOMO, inc. company was terminating its Japan Welcome SIM & Wi-Fi service, a data-only prepaid SIM service available to international travelers from abroad during their stay in Japan, on Monday, September 30, 2019. NTT DOCOMO, inc. is the cell phone company with the most users and the best signal in Japan.
This suggests that to get a comfortable Internet environment in Japan, you can either rent a portable Wi-Fi router or buy a Prepaid SIM that fits your smartphone.
Japan Welcome SIM & Wi-Fi Service
Japan Welcome SIM & Wi-Fi service was launched on July 1, 2017, as “Japan Welcome SIMĀ®” and was absolutely a good and must service for money savers, including the “Plan 0” plan, which offers free use if you view targeted advertisements in your home country before visiting Japan in advance. It was a really recommended service, but it was over.
